Steenberg Golf Club is a championship 18-hole golf course located in Tokai, Cape Town. It was first opened in 1995 and is renowned as one of the most prestigious golf courses in South Africa. The course was designed by golf course architect Peter Matkovich, and it covers an area of 72-ha.
The course boasts a unique and challenging layout, which is set amongst the vineyards and mountains of the Western Cape. The fairways are lined with indigenous vegetation, and there are numerous water hazards and bunkers throughout the course, making it a test for even the most skilled golfers. The course has also hosted several prestigious golfing events, including the Sunshine Tour Championship.
Aside from golfing, the club offers top-class practice facilities, including a driving range, chipping and putting greens, and professional coaching. The clubhouse is also home to two restaurants, ensuring visitors can enjoy a great meal and stunning views of the course after a day of golfing.
