About Charnwood Forest Golf Course
Founded in 1890, Charnwood Forest Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Leicestershire, featuring a unique 9-hole heathland course set among the ancient Hanging Stone Rocks. The course, influenced by James Braid's design, utilizes the natural environment to offer a challenging and picturesque golfing experience. Notably, the club purchased the 77-acre course in 1946 after the Beaumanor Estate was broken up post-World War II.
