About Club de Golf del Uruguay
Club de Golf del Uruguay is a prestigious golf club located in Montevideo, Uruguay. It was founded in 1907 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in South America. The club is situated in the Carrasco neighborhood, overlooking the Rio de la Plata. It has a stunning 18-hole golf course designed by renowned golf course architect Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the Masters Tournament. The course is challenging and offers a mix of long and short holes, with narrow fairways and well-guarded greens. In addition to golf, the club offers a range of other activities, including tennis, swimming, and horseback riding. The clubhouse is elegant and has a restaurant serving delicious Uruguayan cuisine. The club has hosted many important golf tournaments over the years, including the Uruguayan Open, the most prestigious golf tournament in Uruguay.
