Il Picciolo Golf Club, established in 1989 and designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli, is Sicily's first golf course, nestled among oak forests, hazelnut trees, and vineyards with stunning views of Mount Etna. The 18-hole, par-72 course spans approximately 5,870 meters and features undulating fairways with natural hazards, including lava flows. It has hosted prestigious tournaments such as the Ladies Italian Open from 1995 to 1997 and in 2011, as well as the European Senior Open in 2010.
