About Maplecrest
Maplecrest Golf Club was a 9-hole course that opened in 1929 in Kent, Ohio. The course was built on a family farm and had a reputation for its challenging layout and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Golfers enjoyed the course's rolling hills and lush fairways, as well as its affordable rates. In 2017, the owners announced that the course would close permanently due to declining revenue and rising maintenance costs. Despite efforts by the community to save the course, it officially closed at the end of the season in 2018. The property was sold and is now being used for other purposes.
