About Foster Park
Foster Park is a popular public park located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The park covers an area of 235 acres and features many amenities including walking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, a golf course, and an outdoor pavilion. One of the most notable features of the park is its many natural areas including forests, wetlands, and streams, which provide habitats for a wide variety of wildlife including birds, turtles, and beavers. Additionally, the park hosts many events and festivals throughout the year, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Foster Park is named after Samuel P. Foster, a prominent businessman and civic leader who was instrumental in the development of the park during the early 20th century.
