About Royal Thai Army

The Royal Thai Army, also known as the Kong Thap Thai, has its headquarters located in the Ramindra district of Bangkok, Thailand. It is the largest branch of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and is responsible for protecting the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Army also plays a significant role in promoting national security, supporting disaster relief efforts, and assisting the government in maintaining law and order. The Ramindra Army Base houses several training facilities, including the Thai Army Aviation Center, Military Police training center, and the Army Medical Department. The Army also has several other bases located throughout the country. Thailand has a long history of military service, with conscription being mandatory for all male citizens over the age of 21.
