About Gosfield
Gosfield is a small village located in the Braintree district of Essex, England. It is well-known for Gosfield Hall, a stunning Grade II* listed country house that was built in the 16th century. The hall was home to Queen Elizabeth I's favorite lady-in-waiting, Lady Anne Darcy. Today, it is a popular venue for weddings and other events. Gosfield also boasts Gosfield Lake Resort, which offers a range of water sports activities, including fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The village has a rich history, with evidence of Roman and Saxon settlements, and a number of historic buildings and landmarks, including St Catherine's Church, which dates back to the 14th century.
