The Island Golf Course, located in Plaquemine, Louisiana, is a public 18-hole championship course designed by Mike Young and opened in 2000. Spanning 160 acres, the par-72 course features nine man-made lakes and is renowned for its challenging layout that incorporates 54 water elements, including Bayou Plaquemine and Bayou Jacob. As one of the original members of Louisiana's Audubon Golf Trail, The Island offers a picturesque and demanding golfing experience, with only one hole devoid of water hazards.
