About Montauk Downs
Montauk Downs is a state park in Montauk, New York that features a public golf course known for its stunning views of the ocean and challenging terrain. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and first opened in 1927. The 18-hole, par 72 course underwent a major renovation in 2008 and is now considered one of the best public golf courses in the country. In addition to the golf course, the park also offers tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a restaurant with outdoor seating.
