The Bandon Golf Club was founded in 1909 and is one of the oldest golf courses in Ireland. The course is situated on the banks of the Bandon River and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The course has 18 holes and is known for its challenging layout, with narrow fairways and fast greens. It has hosted a number of prestigious competitions over the years, including the Irish Close Championship in 1954 and the Irish PGA Championship in 1960. The club is also renowned for its friendly atmosphere and excellent facilities, which include a driving range, practice putting green, and clubhouse with bar and restaurant.
