About Bergen Point
Bergen Point is a historic section of Babylon, NY located on the south shore of Long Island. It was named after the Dutch Bergen family who settled in the area in the 17th century. The neighborhood offers scenic views of the Great South Bay and is known for its seafood restaurants and marinas. It was also the site of a major Revolutionary War battle in 1780, where American forces successfully defended against an attack by British troops. Today, Bergen Point remains a popular destination for boating and fishing enthusiasts, as well as tourists who enjoy exploring its rich history and charming coastal atmosphere.
