About The Dunes Golf and Beach Club
The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is regarded as one of the premier golf courses in the United States. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1949.
One of the most iconic features of the Dunes Golf and Beach Club is its signature hole, the par-5 13th hole known as "Waterloo." This hole is renowned for its stunning view of the ocean and requires players to navigate a water hazard that runs parallel to the fairway for the entire length of the hole.
The club has hosted several prestigious tournaments, including the U.S. Women's Open in 1962 and the PGA Tour's Senior Tour Championship in the early 1990s. It has also been consistently ranked among the top courses in the state of South Carolina and recognized as one of the best courses in the nation.
Apart from its championship golf course, the Dunes Golf and Beach Club also offers a variety of amenities, including a clubhouse with dining options, a pro shop, a practice facility, and access to a private beach for members and guests.
