About Winston Golf
Winston Golf is an 18-hole championship golf course located in Basthorst, approximately 25 kilometers east of the city of Hamburg, Germany. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect David Krause and opened in 2002. It is set in the picturesque countryside of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and covers an area of 145 hectares. The course is characterized by its undulating fairways, challenging water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. It is suitable for players of all skill levels with multiple tee boxes available on each hole. The signature hole of the course is the par 5 18th, which features an island green and requires a skillful approach shot to reach it. In addition to the golf course, Winston Golf also offers a driving range, a short game area, and a putting green. There is also a clubhouse on site which includes a pro shop, restaurant, and bar. Winston Golf has hosted several prestigious golf events including the European Challenge Tour and has received numerous awards for its quality and design.
