About Mattishall
Mattishall is a village located in the county of Norfolk in England. It is situated approximately 11 miles west of the city of Norwich and is home to around 3,000 people. The village has a long history, with evidence of human settlement dating back to the Bronze Age. Mattishall is known for its historic church, St. Peter's, which was built in the 13th century and features a distinctive octagonal tower. The village also has several listed buildings, including a 17th-century pub called the Kings Arms, and a 19th-century former schoolhouse which is now a private residence. In terms of amenities, Mattishall has a small selection of shops and businesses, as well as a primary school, sports facilities, and a community centre. The village hosts a number of events throughout the year, including an annual carnival in the summer and a fireworks display in November.
