About Hope Valley Golf Course
Hope Valley Golf Course was a public golf course located in Mount Airy, Maryland. The course was opened in 1973 and closed permanently in 2016. It was well-known for its challenging course layout, which included water hazards, sand traps, and difficult greens. Over the years, the course hosted several tournaments and events, including charity golf tournaments and high school and college matches. The closure of the course was due to financial difficulties, declining revenue, and high maintenance costs. Today, the former golf course is being redeveloped into a residential community.
